FATW3 week 9 - A stitch in time

Introduction

This week's square is by one of the CAL - Crochet Along admins, Micki Devlin. From the first time I saw the preview photo of this square, I have been looking forward to its release. It has not disappointed me, it was such a pleasure to make (though the crossed DC stitches are not my favourite ones to execute even though I love how they look). I particularly love how her design makes the popcorn stitches sit up and all the lovely texture in this square. You can find the pattern on her Ravelry page

Extra rounds and more info about her and the CAL can be found here (including the link to the video - I don't think I've mentioned before that there are videos for each pattern available, some by the designers themselves and most of the rest by Bonnie Barker).

Here's my version of the pattern up to almost the end of the written part by Micki. As you can see, I haven't quite finished the last round. I counted my stitches and realised I had too many so I'm going to have to "frog" the last round or two until I figure out my mistake. The funny thing is that the last 2 rounds are the most straightforward rounds of the whole pattern so shouldn't be where I'm messing up.
