FATW6 - Adventures in Mosaic Crochet - ocean themed blanket

I'm very behind at sharing this post. This year the CAL Crochet A-Long group decided to feature mosaic crochet for their annual Friends around the world CAL (this one is called FATW6 - adventures in mosaic crochet). Because the designs people came up with seemed to fit into 3 distinct themes, they divided the CAL up into 3 blankets each with a different theme - ocean, geometrics and garden party. 

All the designs for the first 2 blankets have now been released and people have started sharing their finished blankets. I decided to join in with making the first blanket, ocean themed, and finally finished the border on my blanket last week (I kept getting distracted by other projects). I didn't include all the lovely designs in my blanket and I messed up the border a little. However, I'm happy with the size that it turned out (just right for the recipient) and how it all looks.

I was asked to design a section for the CAL and, if you look at what has been released so far, you'll see that I haven't released a design yet. That is because my design is in the third blanket (although I can't at this stage say when my design will be released).
